System One Veterans Resources Featured

in Diversity Executive

Jesse Canella, System One's General Manager of Veterans Services, was recently featured in the article “Wounded Warriors” in Diversity Executive magazine. The article focuses on the challenges that veterans face when trying to return back to the workforce and how education and awareness are necessary to improve the disconnect that sometimes exists between veterans, employers and employees.

The article also highlights the experience of several military personnel returning to the work after active duty. Alan Goodman, an Aviation Mechanic from the U.S. Navy, describes in detail his role in the military, his job search and how he integrated into the civilian workforce with the assistance of System One’s Veterans Resources team. Since January 2011, Alan has been employed as a surveyor at Utility Partners of America (UPA).
